Plant Intern - The Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory
The Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, located in Gothic, CO is now accepting applications for an Invasive Plant Intern. The intern's duties will include 1) assisting with on-going experiments to control the spread of Canada Thistle and Smooth Brome, 2) active management of invasive plants by manual removal and spot applications of herbicides, 3) directing volunteers as they assist with weed management, and 4) using GPS equipment to map invasive plants. We are looking for someone who is not afraid of hard work and has a sincere interest in active management of invasive plants.
The chosen student will work an average of 40 hours/week from June 12 to August 11 (8 weeks). Room, meals, and station fees will be provided. Credit through the independent study program is possible (in which case tuition would be provided).
