Assistant Manager Natural Resources
Full-time Position
Salary Range: $51,813 - $64,818 - $77,823
Location: Grayslake, IL.

The Assistant Manager of Natural Resources utilizes professional ecological restoration, environmental assessments, and project planning knowledge to act as project manager for habitat restoration projects, provide administration and coordination of grant and mitigation/violation fund projects, to conduct ecological impact assessments of easements and adjacent development projects and represent the District on local and regional planning committees. Manages project contractors, consultants and the volunteer land stewardship staff.
EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in natural resource management, ecology, botany, or other closely related field. Five years experience necessary to gain full understanding of natural communities native to northeastern Illinois and methods for restoration and management of damaged ecosystems, knowledge of the standard sources of information in natural area management and ecological restoration, proficiency in the preparation and writing of reports, restoration plans, management schedules, and ecological impact assessments and project contracts. Must possess valid drivers license.
