Program Director, Land Information Access Association (Traverse City, MI)

The Land Information Access Association (LIAA) is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to building better communities through civic engagement. For 14 years, LIAA has helped citizens, civic groups, other nonprofits, and local units of government use advanced information technologies and community development techniques to improve land use planning and resource management in Michigan and elsewhere.

LIAA seeks an experienced Program Director with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills to help move the organization to the next level. The Program Director will lead development and communications programs and participate in the design, development, and management of new programs to help people build more sustainable communities.

The position has a salary range of $40,000 to $50,000, with excellent benefits, comfortable work environment, and a great cause, in one of the most beautiful locations on earth.

A creative and engaging person with at least five years of experience in nonprofit work, excellent communication skills, a relevant graduate degree (e.g., natural resources, community development, urban planning) and experience with computer technologies is preferred.
