Environmental/Health Scientist/Consultant- Environmental Management Support, Inc.

Environmental Management Support, a small, professional services consulting firm, has an immediate opening for an environmental or health scientist with 3-5 years experience, or a relevant masters degree and 1-3 years experience.

You will work with our existing staff and federal clients researching, writing, managing, and revising human health and ecological guidance and outreach materials used by professionals and regulated industries.

Examples of ongoing projects include participating at national risk assessment conferences for the purpose of writing technical summaries, developing and implementing risk communications strategies and materials suitable for lay audiences, researching and updating regulatory guidance for hazardous and solid waste programs, managing scientific peer reviews, and writing lay-person fact sheets on health and ecological issues affecting the public.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and has excellent writing, and customer service skills. Any project management experience is a plus.

Senior Program Officer, Climate Change - World Wildlife Fund (WWF)

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the global conservation organization seeks a Senior Program Officer, Climate Change. The Senior Program Officer plans, manages, communicates, and implements project as part of the EpiCenter of Climate Conservation. Leads the development of successful terrestrial adaptation field projects and manages other strategic efforts to build WWFs profile and knowledge around adaptation/resilience-building in order to protect nature from the impacts of climate change. Basic Requirements:

Program Officer, Conservation and Science Programs - Marine Fisheries

The David and Lucile Packard Foundation is recruiting a Program Officer for the Conservation and Science Program. The Program Officer will have responsibility for grantmaking focused on Marine Fisheries. The position is located in Los Altos, California.

The new Program Officer is responsible for the strategic oversight and implementation of grantmaking strategies to achieve the Marine Fisheries Program goals. The Program Officer will develop and implement this strategy working with other Foundation staff and in partnership with other organizations. The Program Officer should be a recognized leader in the field of ocean conservation, actively partnering with grantees and other stakeholders to help lead efforts to protect marine ecosystems. The Program Officer will be an integral member of the Conservation and Science Program team and will also be an involved member of the Foundation-wide team.
